This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies ZelfTech uses on zelftech.nl. We do not use advertising cookies and only load non-essential analytics after consent.
1. Who is responsible
Smart Health and Science, trading as ZelfTech, Kerkstraat 140, 6267 EG Cadier en Keer, the Netherlands (KVK 86191748), is responsible for these technologies. Contact: office@zelftech.nl.
2. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small data files a website places in or reads from a browser. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar browser feature that stores information on the device. This policy distinguishes between them where their operation differs.
3. Strictly necessary access cookie
zt_portal_access — provider: ZelfTech; purpose: remember that the correct shared Portal access code was entered; type: first-party, HttpOnly, Secure in production and SameSite=Lax; retention: up to 180 days. This cookie is necessary to provide the requested restricted Portal function and does not require consent.
4. Consent choice in local storage
zelftech-cookie-consent — provider: ZelfTech; purpose: remember whether analytics is allowed; storage: first-party localStorage; retention: until you clear browser data or change your choice. This storage is necessary to apply your privacy choice and avoid showing the banner on every visit.
5. Local lesson progress
zelftech-portal-progress:[lesson] — provider: ZelfTech; purpose: retain answers, notes, current step and completion status on the same device; storage: first-party localStorage; retention: until the lesson is reset or browser data is cleared. The content is not sent to ZelfTech. Do not enter children's names or other identifying details, especially on shared devices.
6. Plausible Analytics (consent only)
Needs confirmationIf you accept analytics and Plausible is configured for the website, we load its script to obtain aggregated information about website use, such as page views and interactions. The current integration is cookieless and does not create advertising profiles. The script is not loaded before consent. Withdrawal stops future measurement; it does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
7. No advertising or marketing cookies
ZelfTech does not display advertising and does not use marketing cookies, cross-site tracking or behavioural profiling. If that changes, we will update this policy and consent mechanism before using those technologies.
8. Managing your choice
On your first visit you can accept, reject or customise non-essential analytics. Accept and reject are both directly available. You can reopen your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. You can also clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser. This may prevent the Portal, saved lesson progress or remembered preferences from working as intended.
9. Third parties and international transfers
